It's a new day at 1114 State St.

Kourtney and Brendan Searls, the owners of the former Vivé, have rebranded their restaurant. They shut down for two days just prior to the NFL season starting, and opened up as Eleven14 Craft House and Kitchen.

The couple purchased Cielito more than three years ago, and then re-opened as Vivé. The restaurant was successful, but the owners wanted to cater more to locals.

"The competition in the Mexican food market is pretty saturated," Kourtney said, "and we wanted to do something that we knew."

Brendan Searls was one of the original founders of Dargan's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Santa Barbara.

"We are doing really good burgers, great shared plates, appetizers, homemade pastas," Kourtney said. "We make our own dough for our flatbreads."

Happy hour will go from 3:15 to 6:14 p.m. and then all day on Sunday. During that time they offer burgers, flatbread and wine for half-off.

The couple is experienced in the restaurant business. They used to own Pizza Mizza before they shuttered the restaurant and opened Mizza on State Street.

When they bought Cielito, Kourtney said, "it was never our ambition to own Mexican restaurants," but they wanted to secure the site.

They are looking forward to their new sportsbar atmosphere.

"We are really proud of our food," Kourtney said. "It is a fun spot with lots of TVs and a really fun atmosphere."
