Don Q Family Billiard Center
The Establishment
Don Q Billiards has been the place to play pool in Santa Barbara for decades. It is a pocket of authenticity that maintains the classic pool hall nostalgia. Returning locals and previous players will notice positive changes that have happened over the past couple years while still being able to recognize the place that they love.
Who Plays Here?
Don Q is an ALL AGES establishment open every day from Noon until 2am. Young and old come here to enjoy the game of pool. We currently have regular players ranging in age from 9 to 80+ so it's never too early or late to start learning and enjoying billiards. We have a diverse crowd and are a favorite hangout for international students visiting the US. League players and longtime regulars frequent the hall. People come in groups or play by themselves so if you are looking for a game stop by and see who is playing.
The Tables
Our table lineup is unique. Our table lineup is unique. Don Q has 5, 9-foot Brunswick Gold Crown tables. These are the only 9-foot tables in town so if you want to play on a table like the professionals, Don Q is the only place to go. We have 2, 7-foot tables. These 7-foot tables are the standard competition table for amateur leagues around the United States and are used for local league play on Tuesday nights. We also feature the only 10-foot 3-Cushion Billiards/Carombola table in town.
Experienced players and beginners alike will appreciate these tables. All tables have been replaced or reconditioned to top quality and feature Simonis 860 cloth, the cloth the pros play on. For the player this means true rolling tables, the ball goes where you shoot it. If you have yet to played on this cloth, you are in for a treat. You will notice the tables are fast and respond to spin accurately.
The Tightest Pockets in Town
For the experienced player looking to improve their game Don Q has the table for you. Our reserved table features the tightest pockets in town. This table doesn't give anything up easy. You will need to shoot accurately to get the balls to fall in these pockets.
