When Hamlet, the reluctant heir, returns home from college, he’s greeted by the news that his father is dead, his mother has married his uncle and the power structure he thought he knew is unraveling around him. As if that wasn’t enough, his father’s ghost shows up with a not-so-casual request: avenge me. What follows is a twisted ride of secrets, manipulation, and shattered trust that will test Hamlet’s loyalty, identity, and grip on reality.

SBIFF Presents: Montecito Award Honoring Colman Domingo

The evening will highlight his powerhouse performance in Greg Kwedar’s SING SING where Domingo’s portrayal of Divine G brings an incredible mix of vulnerability, charisma, and resilience to the big screen. This recognition comes on the heels of Domingo’s win at last night’s Gotham Awards, where he took home the honor for Outstanding Lead Performance.

Galentine's Day at the Kimpton Canary Hotel

Gather the gals and close friends and celebrate Galentine’s Day at a wholesome self-care workshop, hosted by and at Kimpton Canary Hotel! On February 13 from 5:30-7:30pm, guests can create self-love-inspired treats curated by Trisha Cole, author of Life at the Dumpling, a guidebook for joyful living filled with recipes, poems, games, inspirational quotes, travel tips, and more.
There will be activity stations where participants can craft self-care items to take home inspired by recipes from Life at the Dumpling, including a ‘Super Soup’ Lemony Red Lentil Soup, ‘Super Power’ urban trail mix, ‘Super Sip’ tea crafted with Jujubes grown in Cuyama Valley, and a ‘Super Soak or Scrub’ bath product with custom scents using essential oils, while enjoying a Galentine’s cocktail from local vermouth brand, T.W.
