Una Noche de Las Posadas

Una Noche de Las Posadas (The Inns) is the time-honored reenactment of Joseph and Mary’s search for lodging in Bethlehem as it was once celebrated in Early California and is still observed throughout Latin America. This free event will begin at the Presidio Chapel, with the procession ending at Casa de la Guerra with the singing of holiday songs in Spanish, performed by Grupo Instinto. Bring the entire family and enjoy traditional Las Posadas food and beverages. We will have buñuelos from Bella Rosa, champurrado from Los Tarascos, aguinaldos (bags of candy for kids), and a piñata. Rudy’s Mexican Restaurant will be co-sponsoring this event by serving tamales and the Mujeres Makers Market will be curating a special evening market full of vintage and handmade goods! This event is sponsored by Montecito Bank & Trust.
