Edric Ong and Jungle Arts & Flora present Textiles and fiber Arts of Borneo in support of Malaysian artisans and their legendary works Evening event includes: A short film- "Fiber Arts in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo" A presentation, "Fiber Arts of Borneo – Tradition and Innovation", by Edric Ong - Senior Vice-President, World Crafts Council, Asia Pacific; President of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Handicrafts Promotion and Development Association; Benz/Stylo 2016 Malaysian Designer of the Year Several Borneo Iban Traditional Dances performed by Senia Jugi with music recorded by Matthew Jau. A Fashion Show demonstrating the various ways to wrap traditional and fashion textiles with “volunteer” models from the audience A Table of Textiles created by Edric Ong and Baskets by Senia Jugi There will be traditional Malaysian wall hangings, baskets, scarves, sarongs, jewelry and videos for sale as well as appetizers and drinks for all ages.
