Opera Santa Barbara presents Speed Dating Tonight! Music and Lyrics by Michael Ching Based on a concept by Dean Anthony Directed by Layna Chianakas Featuring members of the Chrisman Studio Artist Program and the Opera SB Chorus Speed Dating Tonight! is an opera written by Michael Ching. It’s a one-hour interactive opera that is a mixture of musical theatre, cabaret music, American songbook, opera, and folk song as well. This collection of American music was created by Michael Ching & Dean Anthony at the Janiec Opera Company in Brevard in 2013.
