SB Timeline Mosaic Workshop
Santa Barbara Timeline Mosaic …from the Jurassic Period to modern times If you've ever wanted to learn how to make a mosaic, this is your chance. It's free and you'll have a place in Santa Barbara history too! Celebrating “Santa Barbara Firsts” is the theme of this unique community public art piece. And, this workshop is the FIRST of many free, hands-on workshops where the community can get involved and learn this ancient art. Come help make a mosaic detailing 150 Million Years of Local History in 50 Feet of Mosaic. Award-winning mosaic artist Betsy Gallery, lead artist, along with Robin Elander and others will start the bilingual workshop at 2:30pm. Completed Timeline Mosaic will be installed in a prominent public location in the next two years. The project is also seeking volunteers to research if your talents fit that need better. Stick around after the workshop for the reception and learn all about the ancient art that will become a meeting place, a destination, a landmark in the years to come.
