Santa Barbara Chamber Players Concert

The concert program includes Wagner's tender "Siegfried Idyll,” Dvorak's charming "Serenade, op. 44, for Winds,” Milhaud's innovative "La Creation du Monde," and Prokofiev's spirited "Overture on Hebrew Themes." Mary Beth Rhodes-Woodruff will conduct both the Milhaud and the Prokofiev. The other two pieces will be conductorless. The Wagner will be led by the group’s concertmaster, Sara Bashore, and the Dvorak will be performed in chamber fashion. With only twelve musicians, this piece has a sound to fill the hall with joy.
