Hosted by the UC Berkeley Community of Santa Barbara and Ventura, join us for a special program featuring internationally acclaimed scientist and thought leader Dr. Iain Walker from the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Iain has more than 20 years of experience as a residential building scientist and his current work focuses on case studies with Zero/Low Energy Homes, Retrofits, Indoor Air Quality, and HVAC systems. With an emphasis to Southern California, this program will unite local homeowners, architects, builders, government leaders, and community leaders to discuss measurable improvements people can do to make their homes more comfortable while boosting energy efficiency. Assemblymember Monique Limòn will discuss the progress of California legislation for residential energy efficiency. Moderated by Allen Construction, a Q&A panel will follow. Open to the public and part of a nationwide event series to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of UC Berkeley.
