Open Weekend at Arroyo Hondo

The Arroyo Hondo Preserve is open to the public on the first and third full weekends of each month, advanced reservations required. An abundance of native plants and mule deer, foxes, hawks, and other wildlife can be seen throughout the preserve, making for a family friendly adventure or a peaceful solo hike. Explore the trails and enjoy the sun-drenched vistas or stay cool along the shady creek at this historic nature preserve. All open dates are subject to change in accordance with government public health and safety orders as well as weather advisories. SUMMER HOURS: • First and third full weekends of the month, 10 a.m.– 4 p.m. • Free docent-led hikes at 10 a.m. on open Saturdays, registration required. VISITING THE PRESERVE RESPONSIBLY: • No swimming in the creek. • No pets.
