Venue: La Cumbre Jr. High School 2255 Modoc Road Santa Barbara, CA 93101 Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy rock musical, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The Santa Barbara School of Performing Arts (SOPA) was founded in 2012 by Dauri Kennedy and Jessica Hambright to offer pre-professional training in the performing arts particularly reaching out to underrepresented groups and making community involvement a core value. SBSOPA offers training in song, dance and acting to 20-30 students each school year.
