Home Hardening and Defensible Space Workshop / Public Exposition
The Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council is pleased to announce we will be hosting two Home Hardening and Defensible Space Workshops on Friday and Saturday, March 24 & 25 from 10 am-1:30 pm. These are FREE educational workshops where you will learn about home and landscaping vulnerabilities and solutions from local and national fire experts. There will be a live stream option for Saturday’s workshop, but we suggest coming in person to raise any questions or concerns you may have.
Following Saturday’s workshop there will be a public exposition with an informative insurance talk, an interactive home retrofit and defensible space model, a plant ID table, vent retrofit options, fire extinguisher training, and a raffle! You do not need to RSVP for this exposition. It will start at 2 pm and finish at 5:30 pm.
