Friendship Center’s CONNECTIONS Open House Monday, June 11, 2018 10am – 2pm 86 Eucalyptus Lane, All Saints-by-the-Sea (Across the street from Friendship Center Montecito) CONNECTIONS is a weekly brain training program for those who wish to improve memory and overall cognitive skills, offering an opportunity to participate in recreational activities and memory strengthening exercises in a friendly, engaging, and stimulating environment. Seniors who have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early stages of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia benefit greatly from this proactive cognitive enhancement program. Through challenging games, current event and support group discussions, lessons on a variety of topics, music, light physical exercise, meditation, math, cooking, and arts/crafts, CONNECTIONS engages participants socially and cognitively with strategies to slow down memory loss. Join us for an open house with speakers Marilyn Berman of Home Care Assistance (11am) and Vicky Johnson of Santa Barbara District Attorney Elder Advocacy and Outreach Program (1pm).
