Tenaya: With his unique fusion of soul and folk, Tenaya emerges as a fresh voice in the music scene. A talented multi-instrumentalist and vocal artist, he blends elements of soul, folk, pop, R&B, and reggae to craft his genre-defying sound—a captivating blend of pop accessibility, soulful depth, and masterful storytelling—drawing listeners in from all walks of life. With lyrics that echo universal truths and melodies that resonate in the heart, Tenaya captures the essence of the human experience, inspiring listeners to feel the highs of love to the depths of heartache. His music serves as a bridge, inviting listeners to reconnect with their hearts to find peace, joy, and unity, and a shared understanding of what it means to be human in today’s world.

Tenaya grew up immersed in music, inspired by his father's talent. After mastering the recorder in grade school, he transitioned seamlessly to the saxophone, while taking lessons and excelling as a young jazz musician. During this time, he gravitated toward the sounds of legends like Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, and Marvin Gaye; their messages of hope, pain, and love resonated with him. As he reached his late teens, while battling severe anxiety and depression, Tenaya found solace in his own voice and the melodies he created. Influenced by the music of John Mayer, he taught himself guitar and piano, began writing his own songs, and discovered his unique style, using music as a form of emotional release and expression.

Tenaya pursued further studies in music and sound recording at Santa Barbara City College, where he expanded his craft and became a key figure in the local music community, collaborating with local legends and honing his stage skills. Although Tenaya thrived musically, he was eager to find a deeper meaning and purpose for his gifts. He put his music career on hold to explore the world, and through his journeys, he healed the sources of his depression and discovered his mission: to spread positivity and connection through music, offering hope, acceptance, and joy to his audience.
