Coastal Cleanup Day

Turn the tide on marine debris and become part of the solution to ocean pollution on Coastal Cleanup Day, Saturday, September 18th from 9 to noon. Get outside, enjoy nature, and help clean up our beaches and waterways. Last year, volunteers picked up 17,441 pieces of litter. The goal for 2021 is to pick up even more! Explore Ecology is encouraging volunteers to sign up for the site of their choice at ExploreEcology/Coastal-Cleanup-Day.org. Volunteers are also being asked to bring their own cleanup materials if possible to reduce waste and decrease the cleanup’s plastic footprint. If volunteers don't have supplies, there will be plenty available at each site. Volunteers unable to attend the cleanup on the 18th are encouraged to cleanup any time during the month of September and their cleanup data will be included as part of Coastal Cleanup Day! Becoming part of the solution to ocean pollution is easier than ever on Coastal Cleanup Day, Saturday, September 18th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Get outside, enjoy nature, and have fun participating in the largest cleanup event of the year!
