Cactus & Succulent Stained Glass Sun Catcher Workshop
Venue: Parker Clay 133 E Anapamu St Santa Barbara, CA 93101 Join us at Parker Clay in Santa Barbara, CA for an afternoon of stained glass sun catcher making! In this introductory workshop, Chelsea Brewer of Brewer & Marr Glassworks will guide you every step of the way. You’ll get to choose one of three cactus/succulent shapes to make, in your own color combo, and learn the basics - and mindful practice - of the copper foiled stained glass method. Walk away feeling empowered with the knowledge & appreciation of the stained glass craft, and your very own stained glass sun catcher - hand made by you! - to display in your home, office, etc. The workshop will be equipped with: Cactus & Succulent patterns Colorful glass All supplies required for assembly Choice of finish: Silver, Copper, or Black Patina PLEASE NOTE: Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Making stained glass sun catcher's is a lot of fun, though dangerous at times, and a perfectly safe craft to practice. We will be handling sharp objects, HOT irons to liquify solder containing different alloy metals including lead, as well as various chemicals. Splatter happens! For your protection aprons, oven mitts, latex gloves, respirators, goggles, & first aid kit will be provided. Due to the nature of the craft, expecting mothers are advised to participate at their own risk. MUST BE 18+ YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE: This workshop is best suited for humans 18 and up.
