Building Our Resilient Food System: Using the Food Action Plan to Create a County-Wide Network

This community listening and activation session will explore the vision, progress and next steps planned for the Santa Barbara County Food Action Network that launched in May 2016. It will also allow individuals, businesses, schools, and organizations of all types to inform the process by sharing what actions they are taking to ensure a secure food system, and provide time for networking in order to build new connections and opportunities. The Santa Barbara County Food Action Plan is a community-driven strategic plan that assesses and provides recommendations for how we grow, distribute, consume, and dispose of food. The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, and the Community Environmental Council spearheaded the project, with major support from the Santa Barbara Foundation.
